Vinyasa yoga is easily the most popular style of yoga, practiced by millions of people around the world. And it might also be the most misunderstood style of yoga.

While many people enjoy the energetic rhythm and flow of the practice (often accompanied by music and lots of sweating) most don’t know that it began as a therapeutic healing practice.

Back in the 1970s two distinct branches of vinyasa yoga developed. The most popular is the athletic flowing style taught in most commercial studios. Less well known is a slower, more methodical approach taught by yoga therapists in a clinical setting.

I’ve studied both styles extensively and through years of teaching and practicing have combined them into an approach that is both therapeutic and enjoyable.

Move better. Breathe better. Focus better. Feel better.

Because you deserve better.

Hi, I’m Brian James.

I've travelled all over the world to learn from senior teachers in the tradition of T Krishnamacharya and TKV Desikachar, pioneers of vinyasa yoga and yoga therapy.

For the first time ever, I’ve distilled everything I've learned about how to sequence efficient, effective and enjoyable vinyasa yoga sequences and put it into a comprehensive online course.

Over many years of teaching private 1-to-1 lessons, classes and mentoring other teachers, I've seen just how confusing yoga can be for a lot of people. My goal is to demystify yoga (without diluting it) so that everyone can realize the profound benefits it offers to one's physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.

With this course, I want to save you some of the time and money I've spent and share with you all the secrets I've discovered in a way that is clear, practical and relevant to regular people with regular lives.

Real yoga. Real talk.

We don't learn about yoga by talking about yoga. That's why I offer only the information that's essential so you know where the practice comes from, and some basic concepts to help you understand how it works.

Learning by Doing.

Because yoga is embodied practice, we can only learn about it by doing it. So, the bulk of the learning in this course is through direct embodied experience. Philosophy is great, but it doesn't mean anything without direct experience.

Well Resourced.

I'm not just a yoga teacher I'm also a designer, so I've taken a lot of care to create brand new downloadable resources for this course. All of the theory and principles are included as well as a complete encyclopedia of vinyasas.
